Gopichand Malineni, the director of Ravi Teja's 'Krack', has reportedly lodged a written complaint at the Telugu Directors' Association over the partial non-payment of remuneration for directing the movie. It's learned that the Producers' Council is looking into the issue after the Directors' Association put the ball in its court.
This is the second time that 'Krack' is in the news for the wrong reason. On January 9, distributors and exhibitors were in for a huge shock when the release of the movie was stalled by a court order because Tagore Madhu had owed a certain sum of money to a financier (this pertained to a Vishal movie and not 'Krack'). The distributors of 'Krack' were apparently not in the know that financial troubles would stall its release. The Ravi Teja-Shruti Haasan starrer lost a precious day at the box-office because of this controversy. When the film opened in a big way and went on to become a blockbuster, the stakeholders heaved a sigh of relief.
Tagore Madhu's 'Arjun Suravaram' was delayed by nearly a year due to financial issues in 2018-19. The film was a BO hit.
