Venkatesh is a popular comedian who has peformed both on Sun TV and Vijay TV in the famous comedy shows "Asatha Povathu Yaaru" and "Kalakappovathu Yaaru" respectively. His combo with Christopher, Sasi and Paula along got a huge reception from the viewers.

It is reported that a couple of days back at around 8:45pm when Venkatesh was travelling in his car driven by his driver Mohan three persons stopped the vechicle and threatened them. Mohan ran away while the trio pulled Venkatesh out of the car to nearby bushes and severely attacked him. When the public came running hearing his cries for help the attackers ran away. He was then shifted to a hospital and is being treated for severe injuries including fractures on both legs.

When the police arrived they found BJP flags and initially the investigation was from the angle that the party workers were irked by Venkatesh's social media posts against them. However from Venkatesh's side it was said that his wife Banumathi was having an affair with driver Mohan and she took help from her nephew Rajkumar a cop and employed the attackers and blame it on the political party.

The accused have stated that Venkatesh was having an affair with woman from Coimbatore and was planning to separate from Banumathi and even sent her a divorce notice. Sources say that not wanting to split from her husband of more than two decades she wanted to break his legs and force him to stay home with her. The police are making inquiries to ascertain what exactly happenned and are in the process of arresting the cuprits.
