TN govt announces reopening of Koyambedu market on this date!

In a major announcement as a part of the unlock activities in the Coronavirus lockdown, Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam has made an announcement that the wholesale vegetable market in Koyambedu will be reopened.
Deputy CM Panneerselvam announced that the Koyambedu market will start functioning in a phased manner starting from September 28, and following this, the wholesale fruits and flower market will be reopened gradually.
It must be noted that the Koyambedu market was shut down in the month of May, after it turned out to be a major Coronavirus hotspot, and is now set to reopen after requests from trade unions and political parties. After the closure of Koyambedu market, a temporary market set up in Thirumazhisai which will now be closed. Earlier, Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam conducted an inspection in the Koyambedu Market and reviewed the safety measures.
