The famous Gokul Chat in Hyderabad's Koti has started to be sanitized after its owner reportedly contracted Covid-19. The authorities have sealed the shop on Tuesday.
The owner's age is 72. He was recently admitted to a hospital in Banjara Hills for pneumonia.
As per NTV, the iconic Chat centre's 20 employees have been quarantined. Tests are likely to be conducted on them as part of the government's ramping up efforts. Also, customers who have visited the shop in the past few days will be traced and tested.
The prominent street food outlet was in the news in 2007 when jihadi terrorists attacked it, killing scores of people.
