Bank fires assistant manager for insensitive remarks on Asifa rape

The gruesome rape and murder of an eight year old girl Asifa has put the entire nation in shock, anger and loss in hope for humanity. However, when Nandakumar a bank employee commented that it was good that she was killed, his employer took the extreme step of terminating him.

In social media post, the Kotak Mahindra Bank had stated that it was sacking Vishnu Nandakumar for poor performance. “It is extrememly disheartening to see such comments being made in the aftermath of such tragedy by anyone including an ex-employee. We strongly condemn this statement,” the post read.

Nandakumar had stated that the girl would have grown up to be a bomber if she hadn't been killed. It is worth noting here that Vishnu Nandakumar was working as the Assistant Branch Manager of Palarivottam branch of Kotak Mahindra in Kerala.
