Kota Prasad, son of veteran actor Kota Srinivas Rao was killed in a road accident near Mehdi Patnam in Hyderbad. Apparently his bike was run over by lorry.

Seeing the road disaster, the locals rushed him to a private hospital where he was declared dead. It is learnt that the dead body has been shifted to Osmania Hospital for post mortem.

Hearing the news, a lot of actors including Babu Mohan,close to Kota Srinivas Rao have thronged the Osmania hospital. Politicians Venkaiah Naidu, Kishan Reddy and others were also seen at the hospital.

While the accident had occured, Kota Srinivas Rao was out in Bangalore. After hearing the news, Kota Srinivas Rao is in a shock. He rushed to Hyderabad. His son's body would be sent to him tomorrow morning.

Kota Prasad had acted in one Telugu movie titled 'Siddham'. He is survived by his wife and a son. He was 39.
