Kota Srinivasa Rao has said that Brahmanandam has bene doing similar roles for the past six years. Saying that Brahmi is a talented actor who should be doing versatile roles, Kota said that in film after film he is getting beaten up.

"Brahmanandam has been doing one type of role for the past six years. I don't mind even if he doesn't like my words. He is an amazing artist. He can essay any kind of role. But he has been getting routine kind of roles. In film after film, he plays someone who is beaten up to evoke comedy. Is this what comedy is all about?" he said.

Surely, the audience too have been bored of the kind of roles Brahmi has been playing ever since films like Dhee and Ready. Hope Brahmi gets out of the Vaitla mould. On their part, the directors too ought to outgrow the Vaitla hangover.
