Director Vinod Raj has made head turn with his debut film 'Koozhangal' that has won several awards in the International film festivals. The film is produced by Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan under their banner Rowdy Pictures and both have immense respect for the debutante.

Vinod Raj earlier today got married to his lover of four years Arivu Nila opting for an anticaste wedding. Director Ram officiated the union in Coimbatore which was registered formally in front of friends of the couple since the bride's family did not approve.

Vinod Raj speaking to reporters stated that he hails from Madurai while Arivu Nila is from Karaikudi and they met four years back on a train journey and became friends. Two years ago they realized that they were in love and expressed it to each other.

The sensational director added that since his fortunes in the film industry are not guaranteed he hesitated to get married but it was his wife who gave him confidence and is his pillar of strength. His international award-winning 'Koozhangal' is expected to release to the general audience later this year.
