Konda Surekha, the TRS MLA from Warangal East, who has been denied a ticket ahead of this year's assembly polls, has found fault with the KCR government for giving "undue" importance to Nandamuri Harikrishna, who died recently in a road accident.
"Who is Harikrishna? Was he the activist in any movement? Did he participate in the Telangana movement? Is he a relative of KCR garu? Was he a relative of any Telangana martyr? When he died, the CM and his son swung into action immediately. KTR was there till the final rites were over. About 450 gajas of land has been allocated for his memorial. Whose property is this? Why did the government give away this Telangana land?" she asked.
Surekha further said, "When a Telangana martyr died recently, he didn't get this kind of honour. When 50 people died in the Kondagattu tragedy, the government didn't give adequate attention."
