"We have had a rift because of the media. When I used the word 'amayakathvam' (naivety) for Pawan Kalyan, a newspaper alleged that I had used the word 'vidhvesham' in its headline. I called up the reporter and questioned the distortion," Kona Venkat said.
He revealed that the 'Bheemla Nayak' actor promised to do a film under his direction at any time years ago. But since the 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' star was not doing films frequently at that time, the project didn't fall into place in time.
Kona Venkat awaits the release of Sundeep Kishan's 'Gully Rowdy' on September 17. It's a film in which he has invested.
