The Tamil film fraternity has urged the Tamil Nadu government to take over digital cinema solutions providers Qube and UFO, as they allegedly fleece producers.

A day long fast was conducted at Valluvar Kottam on Sunday. At the end of the hunger strike, eleven resolutions were passed, and one among them urged the government to take over Qube and UFO.

Other resolutions said these companies should pay producers their due share in advertisements being screened in cinema halls and agreements should be made in simple Tamil. If these conditions are not met, release of movies will be stopped from June 12.
