Elon Musk recently introduced the first major change to the microblogging site since he took it over Twitter after months of dramatic developments that also reached the courtroom. Musk, who now describes himself as "Twitter Complaint Hotline Operator", had earlier said that the verification process for accounts is being revamped.
Yesterday, he announced the move to charge a monthly fee of $8 for Twitter's Blue service, terming the move "power to the people". As several influencers and celebrities flagged security concerns, arguing that anyone can now open an account in someone's name, pay the fee and get it verified.
Today Musk tweeted "To all complainers, please continue complaining, but it will cost $8," Sibiraj who was once a famous hero and the son of veteran actor Sathyaraj has shared a hilarious tweet about this and has asked Elon Musk to share his Google pay number. This is now going viral on social media platforms.
Meanwhile, on Monday, in a filing Musk revealed that he became the sole director of Twitter as a result of the takeover, reported Reuters. "The following persons, who were directors of Twitter prior to the effective time of the merger, are no longer directors of Twitter: Bret Taylor, Parag Agrawal, Omid Kordestani, David Rosenblatt, Martha Lane Fox, Patrick Pichette, Egon Durban, Fei-Fei Li and Mimi Alemayehou," he said in the filing.
