A cab driver in Kolkata was arrested after he allegedly attempted to abduct two women passengers after harassing one of them.

Two women had boarded a share-cab that had two male passengers on board in Kolkata on Saturday. As soon as the men got off the car, the driver, Kishan Das, started harassing the woman who was seated by him in the front. When the women demanded the driver to stop the vehicle, he ignored them and continued speeding. People nearby, who had heard the women, chased down the car. Following this, the cab driver slowed down and asked the women to get off the car.

The police, who had arrived at the spot by then, caught Kishan Das before he could make his escape. He has been arrested and booked under sections 354A and 363 of the Indian Penal Code.
