Indonesia now-a-days is turned out to be a frightful place for tourists. But for a woman who was born and bought up there, it should not be quite scary.

Just back from the capital city Jakarta, Director Madhumitha said that her unit was in heebie-jeebies till they packed up from Garut. Why not? It’s the epicenter of that grave earthquake that shook the small island country just a few days earlier.

Being a citizen of Indonesia, director Madhumitha chose the exotic locales of Bali and Garut to can a song for her rib tickling comedy ‘Kola Kolaya Mundhirikka’. Madhumita who had earlier directed ‘Vallamai Tharayo’ is now working with Karthik Kumar and Shikha as the lead pair.

The team was out in Indonesia to shoot a melodious song sung by SPB and Chitra. The song was composed by Selva Ganesh of ‘Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu’ fame. The composer is none other than the son of Ghatam maestro Vikku Vinayakram. As the camera man L K Vijay wanted to take aerial shots to give the visual a rich look, Indonesia became the chosen spot. This man was the one behind those picturesque frames of the movie ‘Kulir 100’.

“Thank God that all went well and we are safe in Chennai,” said the director with a sigh of relief.

‘Kola Kolaya Mundhirikka’ is written by renowned playwright Crazy Mohan and is touted as a laugh riot .The final schedule of the shoot is in early October said the director. Hope we will have a good ride with a fine script and excellent camera work complementing each other.
