Director Kodi Ramakrishna's dream Sandalwood film Nagrahavu (Nagabharanam in Telugu) is finally up for release. Starring actor-turned-politician Ramya in the main role, it is touted to be one of the most technically-advanced films ever made in the Kannada film industry. About 575 technicians hailing from seven different countries have worked on the Visual Effects for 730 days. For more than two years, Makuta Visual Effects (of Baahubali, Eega, and Magadheera fame) worked on the graphics.

It will be a simultaneous release in Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil. Gnanavel Raja is learnt to have acquired the theatrical rights in Telugu for a fancy price. The audio (music is by Guru Kiran) will be released in Kannada on the 14th of this month.

A recently-released poster struck the right chord with the audience, as a Vfx-enabled Vishnuvardhan is resuscitated on-screen. The makers are touting the film as Vishnuvardhan's 201st movie. A film of the same name was released in 1970 and it's considered as one of Vishnuvardhan's best films ever.

This fantasy-thriller tells the story of a woman (played by Ramya), who is the caretaker of a temple and who takes re-birth for a purpose.

Diganth is playing a key role. Let's see if Kodi Ramakrishna clicks like he did with films like Ammoru, Devi, and Arundhathi.
