Yesterday Soundarya R.Ashwin, the younger daughter of Superstar as well as the director veteran actor’s upcoming film Kochadiiyaan took part in the launch event of Kochadiiyaan special Mobile phones by a famous Mobile Phone sales company.

Speaking at the event, Soundarya confirmed that the Audio and theatrical trailer release of her debut directorial venture will happen as scheduled on March 9 in Chennai. However what followed from the young filmmaker was something that would disappoint the millions of fans of the Superstar spread across the globe.

While a official press release from the team Kochadiiyaan had stated that the film is all set to release on April 11 in a whopping 6,000 screens worldwide, Soundarya clarified that the film’s release date has not yet been finalized, which means the film may not release as a Tamil New year special.

Soundarya justified the delay saying that, films like Kochadiiyaan usually take more than 5 years to release but they are trying their level best to release the film as soon as possible in order to reduce the waiting time of fans. The 3D animation technology used for the film has warranted exorbitant time and that’s why the release of the film has been deferred quite a few times. To substantiate her case, Soundarya drew a comparison with James Cameroon’s Hollywood super hit film Avtar 3D, which was in the making for 5 to 6 years.
