Finally there is good news for fans about Kochadiiyaan. Though the Motion capture film could not be released for Tamil New Year, fans need not wait for long.

The multi starrer film that has Superstar Rajinikanth and Bollywood lass Deepika Padukone in the lead roles will hit the screens within the first half of May as confirmed by sources. The official newspaper ads announcing the release date of the film directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin is expected to be out on Friday (April 11).

As per sources close to the film’s unit the release date in consideration is May 1. Since May 1 is a holiday that falls on Thursday the film can enjoy collections of a long weekend that will last for four days. Also the elections would have been completed in Tamilnadu, Kerala and one part of Andhra Pradesh by that time. Another release date in consideration is May 9 which falls on Friday.
