'Kochadiiyaan' release date confirmed

Yesterday it was reported that the release date of Superstar RajinikanthÂs upcoming magnum opus Kochadiiyaan will be announced in the newspaper ads that will appear in this weekend and it was speculated that the release date will be May 1 a long weekend starting with a holiday on Thursday or May 9 the next Friday.
However Media One Global Entertainment Limited has confirmed the release date of the film a couple of days in advance. In their official Twitter page the release date has been announced as ÂWe are happy to share the official confirmation - #Kochadaiiyaan slated for release on May 9th and the filmÂs director Suoundarya Ashwin Rajinikanth has been tagged in this tweet.
The film is expected to release in six languages and a record number of 3,880 screens have been reportedly reserved for the filmÂs release.
So the news out there is our ÂThalaivar Superstar Rajnikanth will grace the screens worldwide on May 9 2014.
With this confirmation we can expect relatively small budget films like Jigarthanda and Vaayai Moodi Pesavum to hit the screens on April 25 so that they can cash in on the two weeks gap before left before the release of Kocahdiiyaan. There wonÂt be any big release after Kochadiiyaan in May so that the multi starrer film will enjoy a steady run for three weeks at least.
