Kochadaiyaan for Sankranthi?

Looks like the much awaited 'Kochadaiyaan' starring Rajinikanth might not hit the screens for the Superstar's birthday on December 12.

For, delay in the post-production works might make the film to see the light of the day for Sankranthi, that is the second week of January, 2013.

Since this is the first Tamil film to be made on 3D using performance capturing technology, intense post-production work is required. A big team is currently working day and night on the project, sources say.

They add: Every attempt will be made to release the film on Rajini's birthday. However, if the deadline is missed, the movie will be released on Pongal.

'Kochadaiyaan' is directed by Soundarya R Ashwin, the younger daughter of Rajini. Music is by A R Rahman.
