Sampoornesh Babu, who celebrates his birthday today, is quite a happy man. Saying that he is grateful that 'Hrudaya Kaleyam' made him a known entity, Sampoo (as he is fondly called) avers, "It felt great that the world came to know about me with that movie. It was my childhood dream to become an actor, but I never ever imagined that I would become a male lead".
Having become someone from no one, Sampoo says, "When we believe in something very strongly, we can achieve it with discipline and hard work. There should be perseverance. Because I loved acting that I am here. Nobody is any lesser. We are different only in our thinking and life chances".
About his up-and-coming 'Kobbari Matta', a confident Sampoo says, "The film will entertain one hundred times more than 'Hrudaya Kaleyam'. There are no spoofs as such. It's a family story". Jokingly, he adds that it's about three characters (all played by him), seven wives and a dozen children.
There has been quite a gap between his films, but the actor has no regrets. "The response has been great. We have released a lengthy line and a song, both of which have been received very well", Sampoo says.
How do people in his village see him now? "Mamoolga undadu. I come from a small village near Siddipet. I am there whenever I am not shooting," he shares.
