The internet loves a sweet story and a sweet one this was ! Ever since her arrival, Klin Kaara Konidela has been the cynosure of all eyes. The video that took the web world by storm today was that of her nursery, carefully curated by Ram Charan and Upasana, exudes an elegant and timeless ambiance with its predominant white and grey color scheme.
The space truly reflects a sense of harmony, peace and tranquility with an utmost respect for nature. It has all the elements that Ram embodies as per Upasana's endearing voice over as well as souvenirs from their travels across the globe, endearingly collected for baby Klin! Designed by acclaimed architect Pavitra Rajaram, creative director, Pavitra Rajaram Design who was roped in to design both these spaces says Upasana wanted a sense of serenity and calmness all around. Upasana went for a palette of whites, soft mink, pale salmon, lovely blush, and soft terracotta for the nursery and the architect ensured it was done in a neutral overtone. The ethos was to layer all colours and create a sense of no boundaries.
Speaking on the same, Pavitra says that, "A sense of a beautiful, calm, open space and we interpreted serenity in this way as the nursery is set in a beautiful farm. The idea was also to let nature flow into the baby's space as well. So that the bird song that the baby hears outside is reflected inside with the beautiful birds in the wallpaper and the whimsical nature of the magical forest that we used to create the wallpaper."
The one with the vision and Klin's mother, the elegant and beautiful Upasana adds that, “We both love wildlife, and my foundation works with the Amrabad Tiger Reserve, one of the largest tiger reserves in India, so the custom print has included playful animals from the region. We feel deeply for elephants and we see them frolicking in the wall print and feel their joy. The trees depicted are local state trees laden with fruit, the background has Gods in Vaahans showering jasmine flowers representing abundance and blessings. It is this beautiful natural world that we wanted our baby to see,” says Upasana.
She signs off by saying that, "I think Pavitra has been able to translate our vision into a reality. This is exactly how we envisioned our nursery to be. The space is reflective of the serenity and joy that our baby girl has brought into our life." The internet could not get over the visuals and the images have been trending since then!
