Raj Tarun and Anu Emmanuel are coming with 'Kittu Unnadu Jagratha' on March 3. In this interview, the actor talks about the film, acting with dogs, and more.
How was it working with director Vamsi Krishna?
Srikanth has penned a wonderful story. I became the character just five minutes into the narration. This is a story with a lot of variations. Vamsi Krishna alone came off as the able director. He has a command over how to handle the shots.
Was it difficult to act with dogs?
It was not difficult to act with the dogs. If you know how to make them act, it's easy to complete the shoot. They are always friendly towards humans. Since I have pets at home, it was easy to get along with them. It became that much more easy for me to act.
What is your take on the banner and what kind of a film is 'KUJ'?
AK Entertainments gives high precedence to making values. Right from the word go, you find only entertainment in the movie. My co-actors also did a fine job. 'Kittu Unnadu Jagratha' is an out-and-out entertainer.
Tell us about your co-stars and other talent who have worked on the film.
Anu Emmanuel has done an amazing job. Arbaaz Khan complements the hero's character. When we approached him, we doubted if he will accept the role. But he gave the nod as soon as he heard the story. Every character is important to the story. Anup Rubens has given an excellent output. I wrote the lyrics for 'Johnny Johnny' rather accidentally.
I have wanted to work with Anup since the days of 'Uyyala Jampala'. It felt happy to work with him. It's special that Sai Madhav Burra garu is coming with the dialogues after two big films ('Khaidi No. 150' and 'Gautamiputra Satakarni'). He can condense so much in a line.
What are your upcoming movies?
I am doing 'Andhagadu' with AK Entertainment. A film with Ranjani for Annapurna Studios is also on. A film with Dil Raju garu is also there.
