Critics can go f**k themselves: Kit Harington on Game of Thrones finale

Following the release of the penultimate episode of the show, which saw the final battle for the iron throne, an online petition was signed by fans demanding a remake of the final season. Approximately 1.3 million people have signed the petition so far. Severe condemnation from people as well as critics has led the stars of the show to open up on the issue. Kit Harington, who played Jon Snow in the show, said earlier today, “How I feel about the show right now is quite defiant. I think no matter what anyone thinks about this season — and I don’t mean to sound mean about critics here — but whatever critic spends half an hour writing about this season and makes their judgment on it, in my head they can go f**k themselves. ‘Cause I know how much work was put into this.”

Sophie Turner, who played the Northern queen Sansa Stark, responded to the “remake petition” stating, “All of these petitions and things like that — I think it’s disrespectful to the crew, and the writers, and the filmmakers who have worked tirelessly over 10 years, and for 11 months shooting the last season.” Hempstead Wright, who played Bran Stark – the man who was finally chosen as the ruler of the six kingdoms, said that he found the petition ridiculous and absurd.
