Ever since Shine Tom Chacko`s new movie Isabella helmed by debutant Ajay Devaloka, has been announced, audiences have been eagerly waiting to know who will play the title character. And now, after a long wait, the team announced the much-hyped female lead of the movie. Model-turned-actress Shruthy Menon who carved a niche for herself with her power power-packed performance in Kismath` will be essaying the title character, Isabella.

"I was very impressed with Shruthi in the film 'Sancharam' (The Journey )and she instantly came to my mind when I started casting for Isabella. Of course, she has an International appeal which my character demands. Malayalam cinema currently has very limited female actors who can portrait difficult roles with maturity and ease. Shruthi Menon is one of those actors which made me cast her in a film like Isabella," says director Ajay Devaloka, who is tightlipped to reveal much about her character.

Touted to be the first Neo Noir movie in Mollywood, Isabella will feature Shine Tom Chacko and Rajeev Pillai in the lead roles. The movie which has a tagline, 'Trapped in Time', will be in the lines of a psychological road thriller which also has time travel elements. Scripted by Shyam Menon, Isabella will have music by Manikandan, who made his singing debut in 2010 with the movie Yugapurushan. Art department will be handled by Thyagu Thavanur Basil, whose debut film Kaazcha` won him State Award. Stay tuned for further updates!
