Director A M R Ramesh announced earlier that his next venture would be a biopic on sandalwood smuggler Veerappan. Now that his ‘Kadhalar Kudiyiruppu’ is out in theatres, he is all set to start the project.

Titled ‘Vana Yudham’, the film would have Kishore of ‘Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu’ and ‘Aadukalam’ fame, who is one of the most sought-after character artistes of Kollywood, playing the lead role.

Besides wielding the megaphone, Ramesh himself would produce the movie on Akshaya Creations banner. “Talks are on with a popular actor to play the role of a police officer,” he informs.

Shedding more light, Ramesh says, “Without taking sides, ‘Vana Yudham’ will show the life of Veerappan. The film will take on account the versions of Veerappan as well as the police. Vijay Milton will handle the camera.”
