Actor Kishore has carved a niche for himself as an actor who could effortlessly get into the skin of the character and portray the supporting, villain and even lead roles brilliantly. Last year he acted as a suspenseful lead antagonist character in Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan`s Thoongavanam` and this year he has acted as one of the antagonists in Superstar Rajinikanth`s upcoming mega budget international don flick Kabali` directed by Pa.Ranjith.

In this exclusive interview, the tall and handsome actor shares about Kabali` and his experiences of working with the Superstar and a lot more interesting details. Excerpts:

How did you grab the Kabali` offer?

It is because of director Pa.Ranjith. Since he is from fine arts background he has used many theater actors in this film. I am one among them. Thanks for Ranjith.

There is a talk that Kabali` has a lot of Baasha` influence?

We can not say like that just because of the common underworld background. There are so many love stories. Love is common but that will be narrated with different characters, background and backdrops. Like that this is based in Malaysia. It will have a political backdrop. The political and social reasons of what lead to the formation of an underworld in Malaysia have been discussed. Tamilians, Chinese and Muslims are the three major communities living there. The film deals with how they came into this, how they evolve, what is their relationship with the politics etc. Ranjith has tried to show many serious issues in this film. “Yaaruda Andha Kabali... vara sollu da avana”- Tell us about this famous dialogue of yours in the record-breaking teaser of Kabali`?.

It has a funny part. I was not there in Chennai when we had to dub for this dialogue. I was staying somewhere near Chirapunji for shooting. I could not record and send it. I had a lot of work in my farm and we cannot get proper mobile network signal in that place 3G was not there. They wanted the dialogue sound bit within that night. I went to a forest like place and record it my sitting inside the car to send it through WhatsApp. I can not come out as dangerous snakes commonly reside there. I had to shout that dialogue. Franklin, one of the associates working for the dubbing wanted me to shout more and give more throw. I felt if I shout more, tigers will come and pounce me. I literally shouted the dialogue for about 1,000 times and have the recordings with me. I use to listen to them for fun. .

Do you have any punch dialogues in front of Rajnikanth in the film?

Punches are for me and dialogues are for him (laughs).

Did you feel nervous while acting with the Superstar?

For any film, I will be nervous at the beginning. As I start feeling comfortable with the team, nervousness will fade away. If co-artists are comfortable it will be more easier to be free of nervousness. While acting with Rajini sir, you will never feel like working with a Superstar. He will ensure that with his simplicity and easy going attitude. While working with him, an actor will get the comfort that he will get while working with small actors like me. So I can say nervousness was almost not there while shooting for Kabali`.

Did Rajini appreciate your acting in the film?

Rajini sir has watched Polladhavan` (Kishore`s debut film in Tamil) and Aadukalam.` When we started working, Visaranai` had just released. He said he watched Visaranai` and my acting was good in that film. Appreciating another artist comes so easily for him. I have enjoyed all of his films and I have grown up watching is films. So I felt shy to talk about how well he acted in the film. Another admirable quality I have seen in Rajini sir is his extreme simplicity which is so genuine also. It comes to him naturally. He is too excitement about his job even after becoming this big a star. After completing a shot he will come and ask you whether he has done it well. Only a person who is naturally simple can ask like that even after these many years of experience in the field. Sucha simplicity is there in the way he thinks itself. I am amazed by this quality.

You have acted with Rajinikanth and Ajith Kumar. Have you noticed any similarity between these two stars?

The similarity is both of them have genuine simplicity and concern for others. I have told this many places. Everyone who has worked with them would have experienced it. Such a genuine concern for the other person is a pleasurable feeling and it will give you great comfort while working with them. They won't maintain any distance as stars and will make you feel very comfortable. That's a great quality.

After Haridas` you have not acted in lead roles?

In the current scenario of Tamil film industry, a lot of new directors and producers are entering. Many directors are turning producers and fund the films directed by their assistants. Many small and experimental films are coming. Big stars can not do such films. They will have a market to cater. Since I don't have such limitations I have got opportunities like Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu`, Haridas` and Porkkalam`. I am doing the lead role in Sattai` part 2 which will be produced by the same producers. The director is the one who worked as Assistant director in Sattai`.

What is your word for IndiaGlitz readers ?

Nowadays all of us have become city dwellers. After coming to city, people undertake walking as a separate activity. People spend time in workouts and exercises. All find these things comical. I use to go work in my farm I notice a lot of software professionals driving cycle as a form of exercise. I will think of asking them why they are wasting their energy like this. They can instead go to a farm land at any place and work so that they can produce any food or do something very natural.

You can even do small works like gardening in your home itself. You will get a good organic food that you have created on your own. The satisfaction you derive from that will be great. You will learn a lot by doing these things. I always insist people to indulge in natural farming. Even terrorists who are caught can be involved in natural farming. Even an insects have some productive things to do. Nature has fixed a responsibility for every small insect. If you kill an insect, it will affect the whole cycle. If you just see that you will learn the importance of every living being and you will not dare to kill anyone. Natural farming teaches non-violence
