TV big shot Kapil Sharma's big screen dream is amusingly light weight harmless dumb laughter that falls true to its genre and plays safe.

The Abbas Mustan helmed comedy reminds those ones by David Dhawan that we saw during the nineties starring Govinda - 'Sajan Chale Sasural', 'Coolie No.1' etc..

KKPK is entertaining, funny and equally dumb having Kapil Sharma in his favourite and most comfortable zone but we would have wished the talented comedian should have aimed higher as an actor in his big screen debut.

Kumar Shiv Ram Kishan (Kapil Sharma) is a big hearted businessman who helps damsels in distress only to become their 'pati parmeshwar'. Kumar Shiv Ram Kishan has already scored a hatrick in this. He is married to Juhi (Manjari Fadnis), Simran (Simran Kaur Mundi) and Anjali (Sai Lokur) and the chap amazingly hides his marriage from all the three girls till the penultimate reels. Gets weird advice from his friend Karan (Varun Sharma) a lawyer who seems to be an expert in polygamy.

And that's not all...this modern day avatar of Krishna, Rama and Kamdeva all in one has a serious love interest also in Deepika (Elli Avram). How Kumar marries Deepika and how the secret of marriages are revealed in an engaging and funny manner. No matter how dumb and illogical they are. Those who are fans of Kapil Sharma and love this type of comedy will enjoy. Writers Anukalp Goswami and Dheeraj Sarna do justice to the genre and manage to keep things amusing.

Abbas-Mustan in their previous films have shown the flair for comedy especially in scenes involving Jhonny lever in 'Khiladi', 'Bazigaar', etc, serving as testimonies of the director's duos sense of laughter and this time it comes full time. Some punches have come out very well that makes it a safe bet. Science, Bhagwan sabko tum jaisa pati de, sabka malik ek.. are just hilarious.

Kapil Sharma in a tailor made role is fabulous. B-town has a new entertainer now. The ladies are fine where Manjari shines brighter than her contemporaries.

cast that includes Supriya Pathak and Sharat Saxena are just okay. Arbaaz Khan is entertaining. Varun Sharma is first rate. Jhonny Lever's daughter Jamie Lever is hilarious as the maid.

Hussain Burmawalla's editing is perfect but the same can,t be said for Dilshad V A's camerawork.

Well all said and done KKPK is a good fun provided you are ready to leave your brains outside the theatre while watching this amusingly light weight harmless dumb laughter where a man marries three women, does karva chauth with all of the three together and is planning to marriage his lady love for his cahutha (fourth marriage).
