Kiran Rao's 'Ship Of Theseus' Can Change Your Life!

While her debut production ‘Ship Of Theseus’ is waiting to hit the screens in July, the film has already made its mark on international radar. Being travelled across the nation in a lot of film festivals the movie Kiran Rao’s ‘Ship Of Theseus’ has been listed as one of the films that can change your life.

The film, which is first film under her banner Kiran Rao Productions, explores questions of identity, justice, beauty, meaning and death through
the stories of an experimental photographer, an ailing monk and an enterprising stockbroker.

The movie has travelled to more than 8 film festivals and has been an eye-opener to a lot of its audience. So much so that the critics from UK counsel have listed ‘Ship of Theseus’ in the list of 15 films across border that can change your life.

Apart from ‘Ship Of Theseus’ some movies which include the list of 15 are 400 Blows, Annie Hall, Raging Bull, The Battle of Algiers and Hamlet.

A source from the organisation said, "A group of critics under the Critics Circle of the British Council selected the film for the coveted list. Some of the other films that have received the honour are Annie Hall, Raging Bull, The Battle of Algiers and Hamlet. The film explores questions of identity, justice, beauty, meaning and death through the stories of an experimental photographer, an ailing monk and an enterprising stockbroker. It has been an eye-opener for a lot of its audience members."

An ecstatic director Anand Gandhi remarked, "Derek Malcolm, one of the members of the Critics Circle chose my film. It’s an honour to be part of a film that can actually change someone’s life."
