Vava Suresh an Indian wildlife conservationist and a snake expert in Kerala, caught his 165th hooded reptile in Kollam recently. The huge King Cobra which was caught on camera was said to be a female aged 6 years. The snake was found in Ambanad Tea Estate and had reportedly consumed food as evidenced by the bulge in the stomach. The specialist can be seen picking up the cobra from a bush as several onlookers stand by and watch. He then takes the snake to a clearing.
The cobra is displayed its full glory, standing with its head up and its hood visible. The video shows Suresh facing the snake and interacting with it as he tries to hold it. The snake with black and white bands can be seen rising to a menacingly great height as the expert holds it up. All we can do is watch in awe as the whole incident unfolds.
Suresh who has been bitten 300 times by venomous snakes, has been on a ventilator thrice and in the ICU six times. The wildlife lover who doesn’t use safety equipment is known for the conservation and rescue of hundreds of snakes and creation of awareness among the public.
