On June 8, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan had their Haldi ceremony. Fan-made posters were stuck on water bottles that were given to the guests. These water bottles also encapsulated the couple's love story over the years. Ahead of their big day, Vignesh Shivan took to Instagram to dedicate this day to the love of his life, Nayanthara. He wrote that he is excited to see her walk down the aisle at their wedding.

The two fell in love with each other during the shooting of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in 2015. Seven years later, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan decided to take the plunge.
