Ram Gopal Varma's highly anticipated movie Killing Veerappan which is inspired from the life of slain Sandalwood smuggler Veerappan has landed in trouble. The film which is due for release on December 4 in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi is facing some hiccups. Veerappan's wife Muthulakshmi has lodged a complaint at Bengaluru's civil court to defer the release of the film. The forest brigand's wife alleged that RGV has portrayed her husband and her in a bad light in the film and the director to invade her family's privacy by releasing the film in four languages.

Muthulakshmi lashed out at RGV and stated that the filmmaker broke the contract and releasing the film in four languages instead of Hindi version alone. Following Muthulakshmi's order the Bengaluru civil court has granted a stay on the film's release. It is learnt that the court has asked RGV to screen the Telugu, Tamil and Kannada versions and clear her apprehensions.

Starring Shiva Rajkumar, Parul Yadav and Sandeep Bharadwaj in the lead roles, the film is a docudrama thriller written and directed by Ram Gopal Varma.
