Popular Tanzanian social media star Kili Paul, who is known for sharing adorable lip sync videos of Bollywood songs, was recently assaulted by few men wielding knife and sticks. Kili is massively loved by Bollywood fans and several stars like Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani etc have also praised his viral videos so naturally the news about his assault came as a shock to everyone.

He took to his Instagram account to share a picture of himself lying on a stretcher and wrote, "People want me down but God will always take me up. Pray for me."

Revealing the whole incident, Kili further wrote, “I was attacked by 5 people in the movement of defending myself. My right-hand toe was injured by a knife and I got 5 stitches. I was beaten by sticks and clubs, but thank God, I defended myself after beating two people. They ran away but I was already injured. Pray for me…this is scary."
