Earlier on Friday, a family landed in Hyderabad from Mumbai at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad. They had a private vehicle but since not everyone could be accommodated in it, three of them (two women and a child) booked another cab.
As the three waited for the cab to arrive, a 'cabbie' came to them. Thinking that it's the booked cab, the unsuspecting women and child got into it. The driver didn't ask them for OTP to start their ride. Besides, he allowed a friend into the cab, to which the three said no. Despite their protestations, the driver sped away the car. After travelling some distance, the car overtook the car in which the other family members were moving.
This made the three suspicious and they alerted their family members about the danger they were in. Eventually, the accused's car was chased before it was too late. A police complaint has been lodged against the driver.
