'Kick' marches on well in second week too

  • IndiaGlitz, [Friday,August 08 2014]

What majority of box office hits collect in their first week, 'Kick' managed to achieve that in its second week, what with 50 crore coming in. The momentum was good all through its stay in theaters and with no competition whatsoever from new releases, the film not just crossed the 200 crore mark but also went a little ahead. As a result, the film's billing so far reads as 215 crore.

The next target for the Salman Khan starrer is to now cross the 'Chennai Express' total of 227 crore. It is pretty much expected that the film would manage to do that now, though from an overall run perspective it would be curtailed by 'Entertainment'.

Meanwhile, the film now keeps the numero uno status of Salman Khan intact while bringing Sajid Nadiadwala in the exclusive club of producers turned successful directors who have hit a six in their very first outing. One waits to see what does this entertaining team brings on next.
