The remake of Tamil film `Chitram Pesuthadi' (Naren, Bhavana released in 2006 in Mysskin's direction, story and screenplay) in Kannada as Kichcha Huchcha does not suit the image of popular hero Sudeep. The film script fed to Kannada audience after four years is only good in parts. The breezy style for the action and reaction hero Sudeep that goes on well but at the end it is depressing for his fans.

The film's pace is very ordinary and the surprises in the film to keep the audience glued to their seats and the loyalty of the protagonist that makes him at the receiving end is what disappoints the fans of Sudeep. The hero on Indian screen is always at the giving end and not receiving end. The climax scene where Sudeep is beaten very badly should have been avoided in the interest of the fans. Director Gurudut honestly followed the screenplay of Tamil film and has not added his brain power.

The stylish Sudeep maintaining the same tempo throughout the film not deviating to titillate his fans is another bottleneck. The love on the one side and working for the underworld don is always a problem we have seen in many innumerable films. The only difference here is the sacrifice that the protagonist makes, is tucked in him without telling the female protagonist creates all sorts of problems.

Kichcha (Sudeep) struggling for living finally lands up with Annaji (Suresh Chandra). He has sister and mother to take care in the house. Annaji uses the power - mind and muscle of Kichcha and his friends to meet his supremacy. In the activities of Kichcha, it is Aishwarya (Ramya) who dares to oppose him. This clash of Kichcha and Aishwarya finally develops into love but soon Kichcha decides to leave the company of Annaji for a decent earning to his living.

The wedding cards for the marriage between Kichcha and Aishwarya is ready. At this time the police take Kichcha from the brothel house is what double shock for Aishwarya. She is dejected for this because in the house, her father commits suicide without quoting the reason that Aishwarya understands because of the police arresting Kichcha.

Aishwaraya's heart is broken and she decides to keep away from Kichcha. For Kichcha there is no option to go back to Annaji. The problem starts for Kichcha when his boss's son Vasantha decides to marry Aishwarya. Kichcha opposes but that results in bad damage to him. Rest is realization from Aishwarya and Annaji's son Vasantha. Kichcha is projected as a good person.

For Sudeep this role is not challenging. He had played a tough role in his earlier two films Theertha and Veera Madhakari that were liked by his fans. He goes down and comes up quite often in this film is what disappointing for his fans.

The ever charming Ramya looks more beautiful in Sarees. She has dubbed for this film and that is very impressive. She is bit fast in pronouncing words but it has come out well. It is good going for Ramya in this film because the role is to her screen image. The crying Ramya also shows her ability in the emotions.

Sureschandra as Annaji is quite OK. The three friends of Sudeep, Giri, Chandru and Swamy have given good support. Another surprise in this film is Biaenca Desai in an item song.

Sri Venkat's camera work is highpoint of the film. The action scenes are well captured and songs are a treat to watch in his camera. V Harikrishna the No 1 today in Kannada cinema gives three lilting tunes. The duet song shot on Sudeep and Ramya- Udisale Hosamatha Padanisa..is best among all.

Scoring 6/10
