Senior actress and BJP leader Khushbu Sundar on Wednesday morning met with a road accident near Melmarvathur in Tamil Nadu. As per her own account, a tanker rammed into the vehicle in which she was seated. Thanking God for showing "grace", the outspoken politician said that she is safe.

Khushbu is currently participating in the BJP's Vel Yatra. She confirmed that the rally will not be stopped because of the accident. "Will continue my journey towards Cuddalore to participate in #VelYaatrai. Police are investigating the case. Lord Murugan has saved us. My husband's trust in him is seen," a thankful Khushbu wrote.

Reacting to a few press reports, she clarified that a container rammed into her vehicle and it was not the other way round. "My car was on the move in the right lane and this container came from nowhere and rammed into me. Police are investigating and questioning the driver to rule out any foul play," she further said.

Sounding confident, she further wrote, "Nothing has stopped me before this, nothing will stop me now either."

Khushbu recently quit the Congress party and joined the BJP.
