Khanna & Iyer
2007 would see number of films coming from the production house of Subhash Ghai. Most of them are small films that would be introducing new talent, both from front and behind the camera. 'Khanna & Iyer' is expected to be one of the first to arrive this summer. A light hearted romantic entertainer that marks the directorial debut of Hemant Hegde, the film also acts as the launch pad of newcomers Sarvar Ahuja and Aditi Sharma.
Iyers and Khannas are at war! Reason? Mr. Ramanna Iyer believes that Mr. P.K. Khanna's son Aryan [Sarvar Ahuja] is instrumental in the plan of eloping with his daughter Nandini [Aditi Sharma] while Mr. P.K. Khanna believes just the opposite. Result? Both the fathers have reported the matter to the police. Both Iyer and Khanna are quite influential in Mumbai though. While Iyer is a local MLA in Navi Mumbai, Khanna is a multimillionaire real estate builder.
Meanwhile Aryan and Nandini, after being in love for 4 years, are on a run after realizing that their parents would never approve of their marriage. More so because Nandini's engagement was already announced with a South Indian guy from New York.
While they continue to run to save themselves from the clutches of their parents, they are unaware about the danger they would soon be exposed to. That's because there was bigger trouble ahead in the form of politician Rana Singh and Donga, a psychic killer. As luck would have had it, there was a top secret file about the nexus between Rana and Donga registered in a CD and the very same CD was now in their possession, something that even they were not aware of!
Soon, the two find themselves in a jungle called 'Lal Dora', the very same jungle where Donga too was in a hiding!
Back home, Iyers and Khannas were troubled by the fact that their children were absconding and the only alternative they had was to first convince their children that they were all for the marriage and on return back to home, separate them.
Together they set out to search their children in the jungle and inadvertently also end up helping each other due to the call of the situation. On the other hand Aryan and Nandini too realize that it would only make sense to get married if their parents agree to it.
As the story culminates, there is a surprise in store for the parents as the their children give a big surprise to them in the most dangerous situation created by Donga - "To Be Or Knot To Be"!
A feel good romantic thriller with music by Tabun Sutradhar, 'Khanna & Iyer' also stars Manoj Pahwa, Mushtaq Khan, Prateeksha Lonkar, Neelu Kohli & Yashpal Sharma in principal roles. The film is presented by Zee Telefilms Ltd. in association with Mukta Tele Media.
