'KGF', directed by Prashanth Neel, stars Sandalwood actor Yash in the lead role. The period film, set in the '70s, had its First Look released in Telugu, Kannada and Tamil.

Made with a high budget, the film has model-turned-actress Srinidhi Shetty as the heroine. Ramya Krishna has a key role in the movie. And Tamannaah Bhatia has done a special song.

Produced by Kaikala Rama Rao, the film's shooting was completed recently and its RR is going on. "The theatrical trailer will be unveiled on October 14, while the film will be released on Nov 16 in the three languages," the makers say.

The director says, "When a war was going on between America and Russia, the prices of essential commodities touched the sky. With the price of gold going up, greed also went up among many. At that time, KGF (Kolar Gold Field) in India was the biggest field. What happens when such a field comes under the control of one person? That's the premise of our film."

The film's key sequences were shot in sets erected on the Kolar mining fields. "The action scenes will be a major attraction of our film. There was a mafia even in the 1970s. The songs will be a major highlight," the makers add.

Music-directed by Ravi Basrur, the film has the cinematography handled by Bhuvan Gowda. Shot mainly in India (Kolar, Bengaluru, Mysuru, Kolkata, Mumbai and Ladakh), 'KGF' has lyrics by Ramajogaiah Sastry and dialogues by Hanuman Chowdhary.
