Prashanth Neel's 'KGF Chapter 2' is a benchmark for the success of regional Indian films at the global box office. The Yash starrer period gangster drama has reportedly collected over Rs 500 crores in 4 days. The film is still holding houseful early morning shows on a week day in most parts of the country.

'KGF Chapter 2' has got phenomenal reviews from the critics amid the box office rampage. One of many things that caught the fans attention in the sequel is the post credit scene which hints at a possible threequel in the 'KGF' saga. The audience were presented with a cliffhanger and a possible lead for the third installment in the film franchise.

Ever since the fans watched 'KGF Chapter 2', they've been looking forward to the official word whether 'KGF Chapter 3' is real. To end all the confusion, KGF Chapter 1 & 2's executive producer Karthik Gowda has confirmed that 'KGF Chapter 3' is happening while talking to the Public TV Kannada news channel. He added that the makers have begun the pre-production works on KGF 3 and soon more details will be followed.

There are also several fan theories popped upon social media that 'KGF Chapter 3' will happen after Prashanth Neel's next film 'Salaar' (and Jr NTR31) as the theories suggest that Prabhas' Salaar role is the successor of Yash's Rocky Bhai. These theories also add that 'Salaar' will have crossover scenes with the 'KGF' world and 'KGF Chapter 3' will have a crossover with 'Salaar' in Prashanth Neel's cinematic universe.

'KGF Chapter 2' stars Yash, Srinidhi Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Prakash Raj and others in important roles. Ravi Basrur has scored the music and Bhuvan Gowda has taken care of the cinematography while the 19-year-old Ujwal Kulkarni has edited the film. The movie is running successfully in the theatres now.
