'KGF 2' has been postponed to 2022. The film will now hit the screens on 14 April 2022. "The uncertainties of today will only delay our resolve, but the eventuality is as promised. We will be out in theaters on April 14th 2022," Hombale Films stated on Sunday evening.

The mega-scale movie is directed by Prashanth Neel and has Sandalwood superstar Yash as the hero. Incidentally, April 14th of 2022 is the day on which Prabhas' 'Salaar' was declared to be released in theatres a few months ago. It goes without saying that the Prabhas movie, which is also produced by Hombale Films and directed by Neel, will be postponed to the second half of 2022.

Coming to 'KGF 2', the much-awaited movie completed its shooting months ago. Featuring Sanjay Dutt as the villain Adheera, it is bankrolled by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films. The sequel to 'KGF: Chapter 1' has got Srinidhi Shetty playing the female lead. Raveena Tandon, Prakash Raj and Rao Ramesh have key roles. With music by Ravi Basrur, its cinematography is by Bhuvan Gowda.
