Yash's 'KGF : Chapter 1' directed by Prasanth Neel not only became a record-breaking hit in the original Kannada language but also stormed the entire Indian box office. Yash played the dreaded gangster Rocky on the hunt to kill a gold smuggler Garuda who ruled Kolar in the 1960s. Anant Nag, Srinidhi Shetty and Vashista Simha played prominent roles in this thriller that garnered two National Awards for Best Action and Best Special Effects.

The shooting of 'KGF : Chapter 2' is also underway and it has been officially announced that the film will hit the screens on October 23rd 2020. Bollywood stars Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon join the rest of the cast from the original and the film is one of the most anticipated of the year that will be releasing in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
