The Hall H audience greeted Kevin Feige with the same fervent cheers meant for Marvel characters like Tony Stark or Steve Rogers when he showed up at San Diego Comic-Con in 2022. One fan yelled, "We love you 3,000," mimicking a well-known passage from "Avengers: Endgame," when the cheers stopped.
Though Feige, the president of Marvel Studios and chief creative officer, has earned it, this type of adoration for a studio executive is rare. Beginning with 2008's "Iron Man" and "The Incredible Hulk," his idea of bringing linked Marvel comic stories to the screen has involved many directors, writers, actors, and artists producing movies that have made over $29 billion worldwide.
Now, Feige is scheduled to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on July 25 as the MCU gets ready to premiere "Deadpool & Wolverine, its 49th title spanning film and TV. For the 51-year-old, this respect marks a dream come true. "You don't expect to get a star on the Walk of Fame as a behind-the-scenes person," Feige added. "My ideal was to be part of this place and industry I adore and see my name in the credits. Forever having my name on that street is really significant to me.
Feige expressed thanks and excitement for his path and future in Hollywood as he considered his early career aspirations, his present job satisfaction, and whether he intends to be running Marvel for the remainder of his career.
