In a bizarre incident, Sumesh, Kerala's Kollam native, was arrested by the police for sexually assaulting cows. He was caught in the act when he was sexually assaulting the cow belonging to a person named Salahudeen, who went to untie the cow in the rubber plantation.The locals who heard the commotion helped the police catch Sumesh after a struggle.

This is not the first time Sumesh has been accused of such heinous acts, as he had previously claimed to have sexually assaulted one of Salahudeen's cows that had died a few months ago. Despite this, no action was taken as he was intoxicated at the time. But this time Salahudeen informed the police after catching him red-handedly during his brutal act towards the cow.

Locals claim that Sumesh is a drug addict and a constant source of trouble. He has been accused of assaulting women in households where only females are present and showing lewd gestures to women and children. He often feigns mental illness to escape the police. The police have decided to thoroughly investigate the complaints against him. Recently, the police arrested people involved in similar crimes from Chadayamangalam, Poredom, and Mayyanad areas of the district.
