A temple priest was caught roaming wearing a burqa in Kerala. The incident happed in Koyilandy when the public caught him after he was found suspiciously wandering in a burqa, a is a loose garment covering the whole body from head to toe, worn by Muslim women. The priest identified as a 28-year-old youngster named Jjishu Namboothiri, was later handed over to the police.
"They found him wandering in a burqa and handed him over to the police. However, there was no complaint against him for committing any crime. So, we let him go after his relatives reached the police station," said a police. Reportedly, Jishnu told Police that he wore burqa as he was suffering from chicken pox. However, on the preliminary examination, the Police couldn't find any traces of the disease on his body. After doing a background check, the Police let Jishnu free.
