COVID-19 Kerala reports 40 fresh cases, total crosses 1000!

On Wednesday, Kerala reported fore new COVId-19 cases. With this, the number of cases in the state has crossed the 1000-mark to 1004. Ten patients recovered and 445 are undergoing treatment in various districts.
Of the new cases, 10 are from Kasaragod, 8 from Palakkad, 7 from Alappuzha, 4 from Kollam, 3 from Pathanamthitta and Wayanad, 2 each from Kozhikode and Ernakulam and one from Kannur. Nine patients came from abroad, 28 from other states, and three were infected through contact.
As many as 229 persons were admitted to hospitals on Wednesday. With new regions added in Palakkad, there are 81 hotspots in the state as of Wednesday.
