Kerala reports 1,184 new Covid-19 cases

On Monday, Kerala confirmed 1,184 new COVID-19 cases. 784 recoveries and 7 new Covid deaths were also confirmed in the state on Monday. Among the new cases, 956 persons developed the disease through contact including 114 cases. Their source os infection is yet to be identified.
While 106 persons had returned from abroad, 73 returned from other states. 41 health workers also tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday. The official COVID-19 death toll now stands at 117 lives in Kerala.
The district-wise Covid positive cases are as follows:
Malappuram – 255,
Thriruvananthapuram – 200,
Palakkad – 147,
Kasaragod -146,
Ernakulam – 101,
Kozhikode -66,
Kannur – 63,
Kollam – 41,
Thrissur – 40,
Kottayam – 40,
Wayanad – 33,
Alappuzha – 30,
Idukki – 10
Pathanamthitta – 4.
Meanwhile, it is reported that 5,901 cases were registered for not wearing masks in public and two cases for quarantine violation.
