Kerala Police to launch web series on 'Koodathayi serial murder' case

The sensational Koodathayi murder case, in which prime suspect Jolly poisoned and murdered six members of her husband's family had left the state in shock. While the case had spurred the announcement of a couple of films, the latest is that the Kerala Police is releasing a web series based on the chilling case. The first episode of the series will be unveiled on Tuesday at 6 p.m. The following episodes of the investigative crime thriller series will be premiered on every Tuesday evening at 6 p.m.
The entire cast and crew of the web series are from the Kerala Police department. The first two episodes of the series will be about how the murder series was unfolded. Real-life Investigative officers K.G. Saimon and the team are playing the lead roles of Police officers in the series. This is the first time in India, a Police Department's YouTube channel is making a web series. It is reported that the Police department has line more web series on drugs, transportation and about women and children's safety in the near future.
Jolly is accused of killing six members of her own family by giving cyanide-laced food over a period of 14 years. Jolly had allegedly first killed her mother-in-law Annamma Thomas in 2002, father-in-law Tom Thomas in 2008, her son and husband, Roy Thomas in 2011, Roy's maternal uncle, Mathew, in 2014 and relative Sily in 2016. Jolly is under judicial remand since her arrest in October, 2019.
