M Vincent, a Kerala Congress MLA, was arrested on account of rape, after a 51-year-old woman attempted suicide due to alleged sexual harassment from him.

The woman had consumed sleeping pills and was rushed to a hospital, from where her statement was recorded. The MLA will be produced in front of a magistrate soon.
