Renowned television anchor, celebrity chef, and model Jagee John was found dead in her apartment in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday evening.

Jagee John's neighbour had spotted her body in the kitchen of her home in the Kuravankonam area at around 4 pm, after which she alerted the police. It's been reported that Jagee's mother was present at the house when the incident happened but she was unable to respond to the police as she was unstable and in extreme shock. She apparently collapsed right after informing the police that her daughter was cooking in the kitchen.

"The 45-year-old TV celebrity made a name for herself through her culinary show Jagee’s Cookbook which aired on Rosebowl, an urban-centric channel managed by Asianet Cable Vision. She was also a host, singer, model, motivational speaker, and celebrity judge," a news agency mentioned. The police have stated that they will be able to reveal more details once they get the post-mortem reports later today.
