It was a heart-warming scene at a Kerala hospital, after a patient recovered from COVID-19. The survivor, whose identity is yet to be known, was bid off in a special way, with a line of hospital workers and a chorus of cheers from other patients as he walked out of an elevator and released from a hospital.
Sharing the video on Twitter, Kerala's Minister for Cooperation and Tourism, Kadakampally Surendran, wrote," Every recovery is a triumph. This man recovered from Covid19 and is getting discharged from the hospital. Cheered by patients and staff, this happy scene is from govt hospital, Kasargod, Kerala."
The patient, reportedly infected with COVID-19, was cured and released on Saturday. The incident was reported from Kerala's Kasargod, one of the hotspots for COVID-19 in Kerala. Half of the total cases of the state were detected in this place.
